An Austrian pianist, composer, and a pedagogue, Leschetizky was famous in the 19th century. He was a teacher of some famous students in the early 20th century, including Ignace Paderewski, Fannie Bloomfield-Zeisler, Frank Merrick, and Artur Schnabel. Although he did not write down any of his pedagogical methods, his teaching was written down by his students which allows us to know more about this important piano pedagogue!
